Safeguarding

As Followers of Jesus, we seek to create a secure and safe environment, by compassionately caring for the children and young people under our care

Safeguarding

We are committed to safeguarding children, young people, and adults at risk. The welfare of the individual is paramount.

The Blessing of Children

All people are precious and ought to be treated in that way. Each child and young person is created in God’s image (Genesis 1:27) and should be treated with the upmost dignity, respect and importance. Children & young people are a blessing from the Lord (Psalm 127:3).

Each child and young person is precious, uniquely made in God’s image and a blessing from the Lord. This is how we view each person and shall care for them with this foundation.

The Privilege of Caring

Jesus conducted His ministry with great compassion, mercy and grace. Famously seen in Matthew 9:36: “When he saw the crowds, he had compassion for them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd.”

As followers of Jesus who seek to bring glory to God, this compassion, mercy and grace is how ministry and pastoral care is to be done. Jesus has great concern for children. When many people were bringing children to Him, others complained and the disciples were hoping to stop it, Jesus said: “Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven.” (Matthew 19:14)

Our aim is that great care and provision is made for every child and young person whom are entrusted into our care through our many organisations: Sunday School, Boys’ Brigade, Girls’ Brigade, Mums & Tots, Youth Club and Youth Fellowship.

Clough & Seaforde cares compassionately that all attendees, leaders, parents and carers will have confidence and evidence of the fulfilment of our desire in safeguarding:

As Followers of Jesus, we seek to create a secure and safe environment, by compassionately caring for the children and young people under our care
